About Us

This section really focuses on participatory action.  Our What You Can DO! section trys to focus on independant action.  All action is good, so long as it's productive and improves the situation, addresses the issues, helps people understand or overcome the challenges and supports the strategic attainment of the solution.

Participation comes in two flavors.  Direct and indirect.  Direct participation is accomplished either through volunteer work or other personal action.  Taking personal action around your own home or business is cool too.  Indirect participation means you want to help but don't have the personal time to commit, in which case your generous financial donation will go to help fund this web site, develop materials for education, collateral materials used as hand outs, various projects and initiatives that help to meet the goals and objectives of the organization.

Our "What You Can Do!" section covers an array of activities that people can take action on.  Some are high visibility challenges and others are community based or even individual actions.   All of them will help.

Individuals, groups, communities, at all levels across the globe need to not just be aware of these opportunities to help - they actually need to get out and get them implemented.   This is a case where doing nothing can hurt.   People should wait till the last minute.  If they do - it might be too late to implement the solution.   That's just the nature of this particular situation we find ourselves in.

"How To Talk To A Climate Skeptic" is a blog published by the Grist Mill and is a great compilation of talking points.  These can help anyone who is preparing to get in front of audiences at any level.  We encourage everyone to become familiar with these talking points.

H2Orbit intends to sponsor programs at all levels of the community and through academia (schools).  Your contributions will help establish those sponsorship programs.  Donors may be recognized or can be kept anonymous to respect privacy as stipulated by individual donors.

H2Orbit is a non-profit organization.  We are in the process of applying for 501(C)3 status with the IRS, however they tell us that they have a 200 day back log.   They have indicated that we should proceed, and comply with all the regulatory requirements called for under Federal Statute.   As those details progress we will update this page accordingly.
