H2Orbit supports a comprehensive survey from remote sensing sattellites to determine the overall health and impact ocean acidification is having on Earth's reef systems. The image below is an example report that would result from this initiative. | We need to stop the rhetoric and positioning. We need to know to a scientific certainty the health, status, trends, species impacts, etc. of every reef on the planet. We need to be able to use this data in order to understand the urgency associated with the proposed solution. If we can determine the rate of coral reef destruction and from that data can project that the reefs will be destroyed by 2080 - then we know programs have to be put in place to counter that trend. This survey is critical to that understanding. The sattellites are already in orbit but this survey has not been done to our knowledge. We are contacting research scientists. H2Orbit wants to help fund these studies. If you would like to help then we need your donations today. Beyond this survey H2Orbit also wants to help scientists use this data to actually visit critical reef systems. These on-site investigations need to determine specific programs that can be used to mitigate the impact being caused by the situation. Again if you want to help fund these activities we need your donations. Once we have a better understanding of which reefs need what kind of help we can instigate a specific reef restoration project to help mitigate the damage in that location. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
