H2Orbit - Its About Sustainability

Through the centuries an intellect was brought forth amongst us that was ahead of its time. I can't imagine the frustrations they must have felt to be surrounded by us. We can only hope to leverage what small contributions they have left us to assure the legacy of humanity. Submissions to have a biography listed here use the feedback form and explain why. If we agree it will be added.

All people are important. Some few individuals though affect the world around them well beyond their specialization. The computer game "Civilization" lists a few historical figures famous across time. They embrace existence. It is those people we seek to list here. Those that affect all time to come. They have floated important ideas onto the sea of human imagination and challenge us all to be more than we are.

We are not interested in listing powerful people here. Powerful people generally only affect the world in their lifetimes or for relatively short periods of time. We are not interested in those people. Nor do we automatically list Presidents of the United States. Additionally we are focusing on people rather than theorems. Contemporary people listed here, whom have done extordinary things can be listed here if what they have done demonstrates a pluralistic model that can be applied to diverse areas of society and that benefit mankind.

There are also concepts, like democracy, that are important from history but we many never know the individuals who were the genesis of the concept. We thank them none the less.

Please don't be offended if we left someone off or have someone you don't agree with. Its just a list. We'd like it to be generally accurate and if you have suggestions let us know. If you don't know these people, or why we listed them - study them - and think about it.

We dedicate this web site and all it accomplishes to the legacy of these people. We all stand on their shoulders.
