At first we wanted to take a completely positive position, and we still prefrer that position, with respect to presenting this material.  However, large corporations and influential people with vested interests are trying to leverage ignorance and the difficulties of the challenges to perpetuate their paradigms.  Why are they doing this?  Because they are trying to buy time.  Time to shift their equity holdings over to the new markets.

Entrenched pundits, like Exxon Mobil, are fueling the climate change debate with disinformation, according to a recent report they funded 43 agencies to do exactly that so people would be confused over the issues.

Obviously the individuals behind these efforts do not recognize the situation we are all in, the challenges or the issues.  Consequently they are doing everything they can to mitigate what they perceive to be a threat to their position, (e.g. our solution).  Consequently they see the H2Orbit vision as completely unnecessary.  The best thing we can say about these companies and people is that they don't understand.  Because if they did understand, and still take the action they take, the characterization becomes much different.

We said it in the situation area and we will repeat it again here: It is time to sweep the controversy into the appropriate corners and seek our common heritage to solve this problem.  Pushing the "do nothing" position and being wrong - will have devastating results.

Be wary of strictly 'conserve oil' points of view.  That point of view only perpetuates the oil paradigm.  Fossil fuels = bad.  Green = good.  Period.

Fossil Fuel Corporate Advertising

  • Chevron - Take a look at this site.  Think about how they named it.  What is the primary product of the corporation that owns this site?  What agenda do you really think they want to push?  Obviously these are rhetorical questions.

The coal industry is already prepared and is already spending millions on advertising.  Insidiously they are using children to deliver the message.  Check out their "learn about coal" campaign.

They don't get it.  This isn't about competing business.  This isn't about VHS vs BetaMax.  This is the health and life of the planet.  We don't need "reductions" in emissions.  We need emissions to go to into the negative category.  Current emisions need to be zero and what's already in the atmosphere needs to be reduced.

Continuing to use coal does NOT solve global problems.   It does not provide nations and people any opportunity or incentive to want to work together.  Coal pollutes.  Coal continues to consume hydrocarbons and dump CO2 into the atmosphere.
