The very first thing that needs to be recognized is that this topic is not science fiction.  It is currently employed on an albeit smaller scale on the International Space Station and hundreds if not thousands of satellites already in orbit.  Solar Power Satellites (SPS) have been around as a concept for decades.  They are anything but a new idea.

The only thing that is really new is the motivation behind building them.  Only recently has the predominance of evidence on climate change gained enough credibility to over come the smoke, mirrors & hot air of the entrenched pundits blocking their construction.  Today H2Orbit contends that our situation warrants an aggressive look into SPS structures as a means to overcome the issues and challenges, attain the vision through implementation of the solution.

There are all kinds of hurtles to overcome with implementation of these structures.  None, H2Orbit contends, that we can't deal with >> if << we decide to just get it done.

Below are some links to searches within public patent databases.  Please recognize that these are not the only databases.  Almost every country has similar databases and or offices.  Also recognize that patents filed in one country are not automatically promulgated to other countries.  That is just because you have a patent filed in one country does not grant you a "global" patent.  Global patents must be filed in a way that 'clears' them through an international treaty process worldwide.

These are only example searches.  You can refine your own searches.  Look at what's there and maybe think of something new that will help us all succeed in a more efficient manner.

Please review the H2Orbit Reference Library and Bibliography for books and reference materials on these subjects.  We have five reading suggestion lists posted on Amazon.  Some books on this topic are currently out of print - we encourage you to contact the publisher of those books and ask them to produce another printing run.
